Lookout Knoll in the rain

A couple of Scribbly Gums Eucalyptus rossii were doing this great red-and-white thing in the rain.

That very tiny white speck on the further slope in the picture is a deer. Given she was very white coloured, I'm guessing Fallow Deer.

Casuarina Sands

Correa reflexa in flower along the track to Bulgar Creek.  Some plants with red and yellow flowers, some light green.

Occurrence of fasciation in a stem of  Bursaria spinosa.  this is the first example I've seen in Bursaria, having previously seen fasciation only in soft weeds like Plantain Plantago lanceolata.

Plenty of dead River Oaks Casuarina cunninghamiana from the 2003 fires, still a striking sight along the river.

Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog

Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog or Eastern Sedgefrog Litoria fallax.  These tiny frogs only up to 3cm long are happy living in the man-made pond at our accommodation.

The rocky beach at Granite Bay. You can hear the rocks clattering in the surf from above the beach.

Wild Horse Mountain

So many Glasswings Acraea andromacha.  The wings are like windows.

The Glasshouse Mountains, taken from the littlest Glasshouse Mountain, Wild Horse.  There are eleven peaks in total.
