Long Flat - Burnt Hill

After some rain, many little creatures were out in the damp but sunny conditions.  Canary Worm or Canary Flatworm Fletchamia sugdeni.


Female Mountain Grasshopper or Katydid Acripeza reticulata



Some kind of female orange mealy bug, possibly Monophlebulus sp.


Whip Snake or White-lipped Snake Drysdalia coronoides. Very small only about 20cm. 


One of only two Button Everlasting flowers seen on the walk Corinidium scorpioides


Black Sallee flowers are so tiny Eucalyptus stellulata

Walking along the Border on Johnston's Line, facing west. Mt Gudgenby is just right of centre in the distance.

Finally, at dusk, resting damselflies decorate the creekside. Unidentified.
