AAWT - Day 2 - Bushfold Flats to Booroomba Rocks

Caterpillar of Pasture Day Moth Apino callisto. The caterpillar burrows into the ground to pupate. Here is an adult moth that was prepared earlier.


One of only two Hovea heterophylla plants in flower seen today. It's been a dry year.

Reads Hut

Blackwood Acacia melanoxylon flower buds


Sour Bush Omphacomeria acerba just beginning to flower. The flowers are very tiny, not quite able to see them here. Does look superficially like Cherry Ballart (Exocarpos cupressiformis), which is in the same family.
